I've killed my swimming costume.

The 'dead' suit is but after just six months of regular swimming and aqua aerobics it's no longer doing its job.

Bouncing up and down doing bootcamp style aqua aerobics when you're substantial of nork requires a very supportive swimsuit!

I've also lost about 1 1/2 stone since I bought the now deceased Freya Active, and gone down a bra band size (and up a cup size) to a 32G. I'm still 'on my weight loss journey' as they say in the weight loss world, so would rather not spend scary money, especially as its life expectancy does not seem to be great.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement? From my initial research, buying exactly the same Freya costume seems to be my best bet. It has the best reviews. But it only comes in one colourway and I have to admit to hoping for a bit of a change.

I wear my normal costume with a sports bra underneath.

would second the suggestion of a sports bra under a swimsuit. maybe get a swimsuit that has a top part of it big enough to completly cover bra.

Maybe the Panache Sport swimsuit? Their sports bras are great.

Now that's an idea Help. Although, and I know this shouldn't matter, I'm not sure what the other 'participants' or indeed spectators (watching aqua aerobics is comedy gold) would think? My sports bra is high cut and double strapped.
Does the chlorine 'kill' your sports bra, like it kills swimming costumes?

I wear an older one and just rinse it in the shower after and then every so often rinse it in the washing machine. It's not underwired and has been ok.
A few people at the class I go to do the same. I wear a black one and my costume is mainly black with spotty side panels so it's not overly noticeable. I'm a g cup as well.

I did have a zoggs costume with built in bra although more like a boob shelf! And it didn't offer enough support. I find the fashion cup sized suits aren't sturdy enough for proper aquafit classes. Good for better support when at the beach on holiday etc but not for sports.

you cannot beat a speedo op.

They do not wear out. I love swimming. Good idea about the sports bra and then get a speedo.

I had that exact Freya one for a while (I have three still) but I thought it had been discontinued as I couldn't find one in my new (smaller Smile) size. I found it good tho I don't do aqua aerobics, I just swim.

I have now got this one by Zoggs expensive tho - wasn't sure at first but now I really like it. I needed to upsize tho - I am now 30G but I still needed 32G in this costume.

I was going to sugguest the Freya Active! I agree that the nork support is excellent but the fabric is not great. Mine lasted about 6 months too, of being used twice a week.

Surprised people found the Freya so poor - I swim 3-4 times a week and it was a good year before it started to look faded.

The Zoggs one is good for durability btw - I have been using every other day since January and it looks like new.

Speedo Endurance are excellent (my kids always used to grow out of them rather than needing new costumes because they'd fallen apart which happened with every other type I bought), and less stretchy than ordinary costumes, so maybe more supportive.
