Anyone bored who fancies dressing me for a wedding, please

It's XP's brother's wedding. We recently split up very amicably. DS (2) is going and as XP is best man they won't let him sit with him or his gran (both on top table). So I will be going to accompany him.

It's quite a fancy wedding in a little country house.

I have a very hourglass figure. 34E boobs, small waist, size 12, big hips. My stomach is quite flat and my arms are fine. I'm 5'3".

Can't wear anything tight across the thighs as they're too muscular and make the dresses wrinkle.

I really don't suit black or khaki. Look best in bright blue but am open to other colours.

Max budget is around £150. Plus shoes, fascinator or hair clip.

Thank you!

What's your favourite dress like? Or outfit if you don't have a fave dress

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:24:59

I like this.

I also like a lot of the 50s swing dresses. I definitely need something that goes in at the waist.

Out of flippin' stock in size 12 of course, but this sort of shape?

Ver1tyPushpram Fri 24-Jul-15 20:32:03

Royal Blue Poppy Print

Plain, light, but bright, blue

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:36:13

Thanks for looking.

Probably the same shape as no 2. Think no 1 is too high necked and may give me the dreaded shelf boob.

I don't like the shininess of number 3!

SweetAndFullOfGrace Fri 24-Jul-15 20:39:46

Something like this?

Ver1tyPushpram Fri 24-Jul-15 20:40:02

I'll look again, not so much bored as avoiding the washing up grin.

SweetAndFullOfGrace Fri 24-Jul-15 20:41:20

Or this?

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:42:45

Oh no Sweet. I hate that and I don't know why. I think it looks very Tina Turner grin

I love this but it a) is probably too young for me and b) probably looks to bridesmaidy.

I'm 32 by the way, if that matters

SweetAndFullOfGrace Fri 24-Jul-15 20:43:22

Or this?

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:43:36

I like the second one Sweet, but it's not grabbed me!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:44:47

I like this but is it asking for trouble with a toddler in tow?

ThreeFrazzledFandangos Fri 24-Jul-15 20:46:38

And this looks awesome on her. Don't know about me!

ImperialBlether Fri 24-Jul-15 20:49:53

How about this Coast dress? Does pale pink suit you?

suseb99 Fri 24-Jul-15 20:50:14

Hi, I love love a lot of the dresses from these two: &

They are very 50's style and would lovely with with your figure.

GoodToesBadToes Fri 24-Jul-15 20:51:33

Bear with me here. I have this dress in the picture and it's amazing on and suits everyone. It is so Marilyn.

Ver1tyPushpram Fri 24-Jul-15 20:51:52

I really like the Navy blue strapless.

Nice print, v-neck, flared skirt

Same sort of thing

Aqua and a bit floaty

Ahhhhh! My eyes!

ImperialBlether Fri 24-Jul-15 20:52:35

How about this Karen Millen dress?

GoodToesBadToes Fri 24-Jul-15 20:52:43

It's a pied a terre wiggle dress

I was just going to say that from your description Lindy Bop sounds like a good place to start. I can vouch for the quality (they are v reasonably priced so I was sceptical) and they deliver really quickly.

tatumsfunkychicken Fri 24-Jul-15 20:54:32

Oooooh, Lindy bop dresses are lovely!!

NashvilleQueen Fri 24-Jul-15 20:55:31

This is lovely.

fizzicles Fri 24-Jul-15 20:57:05

Have you looked at Pepperberry? They're the clothes part of Bravissimo so do dresses designed to fit curvier figures. Something like this Sophia dress maybe?
