Body shaping underwear

I have a night out in 2 weeks. Have lost a fair amount of baby weight, feeling confident with the black bodycon dress I have bought, but I definitely need something to smooth all the lumps and bumps.

I think a wear your own bra full body is the best option but there are bloody hundreds to choose from online.

I am tall with big bust,12to 14. Problem areas are mummy tummy, muffin top and back fat. I'm on a budget so Spanx are not an option.

Read such mixed reviews. Suppose I could buy a few then return but I'm turning to you mnetters for advise!

I know Spanx are expensive but honestly they are worth it. They are comfy and the material is thin and they really hold you in. I have some cheaper shaping underwear from Debenhams but it's not in the same league as Spanx.
Have you got a Next account? You could order some on next day collection and try a few brands on and return what you don't want and what you do keep, you don't have to pay for all in one go.

Oh you already said that about ordering some and trying them!

If I were to buy Spanx now and then lose say another half stone, so I'm a slim size 12, would the same size Spanx still fit?

Yes they are quite stretchy. I've got the Higher Power briefs and the long leg ones in size A and I'm dress size 8 in most shops. I didn't really check out the sizing too much, I just wanted them tight incase they went looser through wear and washing but they haven't and I've washed mine loads.
