Shopping in USA?

Off to West coast America in 10 days with DD 16 and DH. Never been to the states before. We're driving down from seattle to LA over about 3 weeks via portland and San Francisco. So the plan is to take very little and fill up our bags with lovely clothes and make up etc as we go. What shops / brands would you recommend stocking up on while we're out there ? All tips appreciated for me and DD.

I like Lucky Brand jeans (they just fit me well), and if you go to an outlet mall they often have a store;

J Crew (have good sales, also sometimes their factory but that's more hit and miss);

Old Navy, good cheap option, especially for kids (this is the low end sister to Gap, with Banana Zrepublic being the higher end sister and fairly similar to J Crew);

DKNY (outlet);

Sportswear (outlet especially);

I keep an eye out for Sam Edelman sandals;

Victoria's Secret: I always buy at least 1 bra, I like their body range, plus their cotton pants that they do, 5 pairs for $25 or whatever;

Your daughter should check out Forever 21 (a bit like H&M and Topshop);

And you should try some various M&M flavours (my faves are almond and peanut butter).

Have a great time!

Yes to Old Navy- the jeans are good quality but I would suggest to buy a size smaller than you normally buy. They tend to stretch a lot. Lucky and Miss Me jeans are really nice just more expensive.

I tend to buy things I have a hard time getting over here or is too expensive to import. Real maple syrup, corn bread mix, ranch and french onion spices, candy, root beer, Cheez-its.. it's mostly food.

I also usually buy boots and converse there. We buy our Macbooks there too.
