What's the difference in cup size between 32DD and 34D?

Having measured my bra size using the Approved Method, I come out as a 32DD. I bought a lovely bra recently which fits perfectly, so I decided to order the same one in a different colour. But they didn't have my size, so I went for a 34D. Apart from the fact that I have to fasten it on a tighter hook, I'll be damned if I can see any difference at all. It seems to fit just as well.

So, would there be any difference? If so, where?

They have the same cup volume so are pretty much the same bar the band length. However if you're already wearing it on the tightest hook you may find that it becomes too loose very quickly and won't give you enough support.

Well, it was pretty snug on the second hook, so there's still another one to go.

I do know that sometimes the fit is different between colours. I have identical black and white bras (in 32DD) - the black fits perfectly, but the white is soooo tight I can barely do it up. Almost made me doubt the bra gurus!

Tbh the difference between the identical ones sounds odd. Black bras are usually tighter than white ones due to the dying process.

That sounds more like a small manufacturing error to me - black is generally smaller.

The band will be different and that will make one fit poorly.

I learned this to my cost after many years of religiously believing interweb experts extolling the magic of sister sizing. The magic of sagging and sore shoulders more like.
Never mess with the band size!
