Am going away tomorrow for a couple of days with new man ?? and am stumped as to what to wear for dinner/evening. Seaside hotel in Sussex. Big deal for me as haven't done this in years! Age 52, size 14/16 hourglassish and 5'9". Want to look chic/sexy/like I haven't made a huge effort..

I don't really have any ideas but just wanted to say have a great time - sounds like you will have a lot of fun.
Maybe nothing too floaty in case ye go for a romantic stroll along the beach after dinner and it's windy Blush
Also, what is your normal style? What do you feel comfortable and confident in?
You've obviously been out with him previously so he must have liked what he saw to ask for a weekend away Wink and you must have looked pretty darn hot at the same time Wink
So maybe use those as a guideline ? and more importantly enjoy enjoy enjoy!

Thanks Always - just feels daunting as we're going away - expectations and all that! Good tip re nothing floaty ??. I feel comfortable with a kind of less is more approach (but not naked!!). Just stumped what to wear in the evening for dinner - and afters! Wink

Just realised I meant less is more in terms of make up not clothes!! I meant low key - but chic Blush

I'd go for a jersey wrap dress. Phase Eight and Boden are good places to look.

YY phase 8 dress. Well cut and chic. Monsoon have some nice jersey dresses in too, because they tend to be slightly beaded you can be very sparing with jewelery and make up but still look luxe. Smile
