what style/shape evening bag

what's 'in' for evening bags?

I saw a gorgeous box clutch like the kind the celebs carry on the red carpet, but when i tried it in the shop all I could fit was my smart phone. that was it: no lipstick, no purse, no money. Not very practical!

Ps. I don't like the massive envelope clutches (the size of an A4 paper).
