Ordering from Boots online....have you done it

for delivery to local store.

Do you have to Register in order to do it because once I tried to add a review for something on their site and it took me to Register- which involved answering loads of questions including my date of birth- which I won't give to random websites due to security / ID fraud reasons.

They have triple points today for card holders if you spend over £60. I want to order some Xmas stuff thought it was worth trying but...

Give them a false DOB, they aren't going to know. Just make sure you remember what it is in case you ever need to enter it again for security.

That's what I thought....

Don't they already have your DOB from your advantage card anyway?
I've used it lots of time and bother leaving a review..

I find the website too difficult to use, which is a shame, as I'd have lots of points by now.

Just tried to order and the website is crap.
I couldn't find what I wanted - some Estee Lauder serum- it wasn't listed with the EL serums at all, but eventually found by using their search box.
Then I tried to carry out the transaction using the Advantage card and it's not adding the special offer of 3 x points for today. For some reason it's giving me 10 points per £1, not 12.
Think I'll give up and go to JL online!

Pink you can do it instore too, it's free delivery that way to store and it'll arrive the next day

Yes I've ordered and it is fine. I've found that often sites ask for your dob now as they send you a special discount code on your birthday - asos do this for example.

The boots site is a bit crap though.

Yes I use it quite a bit and have it delivered to home for free -saves 40 mile trip and then having to lug heavy box. I find website slow and when there's a special offer on it tends to crash a bit .

I gave up because the site seemed very poor- and I ended up being a bit paranoid about credit card security etc if their website seems so hopeless.

Thanks for the advice about being able to do it in store- that's something to consider another time.

I did this. It was painless to register and the stuff I ordered was sent to my local store at 2 the next day. A text message was sent to let me know and I just went to the store, showed them the message and they handed it over on signature.

It was all there and I will certainly do it again.

Quite a few times - just give them a fake dob, who will know? I don't spend loads but still manage to get a decent enough amount of points each year to get free makeup, dental care, general skin care and shower gel bits. I've had my advantage card for over a decade and nothing bad has happened to me!
I personally like that they offer free in-store collection because it means I don't have to go down the post office to collect it.

It was very useful to me as my local Boots is very small and doesn't carry the items I ordered from the website.

I have two DOBs - my real one and one that I use for all websites that want a DOB. That way I don't forget it if I need it for security later.

The boots website is a bit rubbish but I've never had any issue online ordering.

I have done it a few times. Always fine for me and useful as our local Boots is also small.
