I need help choosing CASUAL SHOES.

I either wear real casual stuff like walking shoes or trainers or office shoes. During summer it's easier with so many sandals to choose from but in colder weather I struggle.

What would you wear with a knee length A line denim skirt other than boots? What would you wear with jeans.

I am hampered by flat feet so heels are a bit of a problem and I have a crooked big toe (broke it years ago) so shoes with little room for toes are also a problem.

Thanks in advance....

got to be boots - wear them with the skirt and the jeans
you can wear black ballet flats with kneelength skirts and black tights if you have coltishly slim ankles (not me, then).
Clarks do a fairly good line in not-quite-trainers like this which might be handy, and if your feet are smallish (or not, some go v large), kids' ranges can actually be a good source of casualish shoes like these .

If flat feet are stopping you wearing some types of shoes, it might be worth getting some arch supports (try a Scholl shop, or Boots do some good ones) - might mean you can have a go at wedges, which are immensely comfortable and flattering with knee-length skirts.

You could go for low wedges.I hate to be boring but I always love clarks shoes. They also sell ecco shoes which are a bit more pricey than their own shoes but very comfy.I tend to go for comfort than fashion.Hotter are a decent company don't be put off by the kind of gannyish style of some.Check out their website. They are also very comfy and you'll hardly find them in the sale.Top tip I have found them half price in TK Maxx!Check out big department stores for lots of different companies.I love Rhode shoes too,v comfy again.I think a slip on,you know like with no back on it but a high front can look nice with a skirt.Love boots too.

Thanks guys. I tend to live in Birkenstocks through the summer cos of the arch support but I don't like the shoes as much. I have been lucky with Clarks in the past so I will check them out again.

The thing I hate about boots is my calves are too big. I used to play a lot of sport and have quite muscular calves. I have found boots that fit but it is such a chore. No doubt I will look again this year.

Any other ideas?

I have a real problem finding shoes I like!

these turny up toes ones are horrendous and very unattractive and I find once a fashion trend is in you're pretty much stuffed for anything different.

I desperately need some new shoes but I can't find any I like.

Meant to add that I have slim ankels but as I said before big calves.

Drosophila - if you have big calves you could check out Duo - they do calf fitting boots. Not cheap, but good quality.
