New Balance 410 - which colour?

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and give them a go. I have a 20% off voucher for ASOS ...

I'm on maternity leave so am signed up to casual/practical clothes and think some New Balance and a new pair of white Madrid Birkenstocks should see me through the summer.

I'll wear them with black Topshop Baxters for now, prob rolled up a bit when it's gets to ankle flashing weather. I'm intending to get some blue skinnies at some point too.

I'm drawn to the plum style m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/New-Balance/New-Balance-Burgundy-410-Heritage-Trainers/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3828045&SearchQuery=new%20balance&Rf-700=1000&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=50&sort=-1&clr=Burgundygrey but also like the blue and grey m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/New-Balance/New-Balance-Blue/Grey-410-Heritage-Trainers/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3828051&SearchQuery=new%20balance&Rf-700=1000&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=50&sort=-1&clr=Greyblue

So my query is, which colour do you have and what do you wear them with?

And how do you avoid that lost commuter look?!

I like the blue but love the grey have seen elsewhere. Any idea how their sizing is? Do I need to go a size up from my normal shoe size? Have to buy online as no access to real life shops!

I was just going to order my normal size ... Isn't that how you buy shoes?!

I prefer the plum but am toying between the grey pair and the black ones at the moment. Like over I have to buy online too. Am psyching myself up to part with £50.

I like the grey. New Balance come up quite small.

I bought the grey in my size (4) but they were too small....ended up going for the 420's in navy which do fit in my size (4) Confused

I have the burgundy as I wanted a little bit of colour but a colour that would go with navy, black and grey (which is what 99% of my wardrobe is). Love them and now I've got my eyes on a navy pair ...

Oo you are all making me consider a coloured pair instead, especially as my wardrobe is predominantly black, grey, white Confused

Back to one of my original questions - what so you wear yours with?

I have the navy but would have bought the plum if they had been in stock, much nicer!

I'm waiting for these to arrive at the moment. I ordered 2 sizes as I wasn't sure of the size, I'm really hoping they are ok [fingers crossed]

I keep looking at these but I don't really do trousers or jeans. would they look silly in the summer with a just above knee length denim/chambray skirt and t-shirt/vest?

I like these ones, a bit of colour without being overly pink www.asos.com/New-Balance/New-Balance-Black/Pink-Stadium-574-Trainers/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3828667&SearchQuery=new%20balance&Rf-700=1000&Rf-300=2320&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Blackpink

oh now just seen the navy version and they are reduced. I have huge size 8 feet, will they look silly in skirt and trainers? I'm 5'9 and size 12.

I wear trainers with rolled up jeans . I think they need to be pretty Low profile to work with skirts . I love the Nike colourful ones but they don't like my feet ! I wear purple Merrell barefoot at the moment as my feet are tricky .. Thy are a lovely purple and cobalt blue colour and very low profile .

That's odd, it works for me.

If you go to //www.office.co.uk and search for New Balance 410 they're reduced to £34.99, they're grey with a blue N and orange sole.
I'm not too impressed with the speed of the office despatch I ordered them on Wednesday and haven't heard anything yet.

I'll try again wtih the main link

im a size 12 but any weight I carry is around my middle and jeans just don't suit me, would it be better to go the nike blazer/adidas gazelle trainer type with a skirt then? or are we talking these type of new balance ? www.asos.com/New-Balance/New-Balance-Blue-420-Trainers/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3828039&SearchQuery=new%20balance&Rf-700=1000&Rf-300=2320&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Blue (desperately needs help to do casual without jeans, I often feel overdressed as wear a lot of dresses and skirts and don't even own any trousers)

They arrived and I love them! Totally wearable with just skinny jeans. No fancy trendiness required.

They'll be good with cropped/ankle skinnies when it's warmer too.

Sizes aren't generous though. I'm ok with the 8 I ordered, but they're quite a narrow fit.

Glad you like them. Love the maroon and grey ones! Anyone got an ASOS code?
