Nice nursing bikinis- Anyone come across any?

I'm off on holiday in a few months and will still be breastfeeding my DS. I've had a trawl on the Internet for a nice nursing bikini but the only ones I've come across aren't very attractive.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a site to try?

I'm at the idea of a nursing bikini! Wouldn't any bikini do? Just pick a decent brand that does cup sizes. Doesn't have to be a nursing one. Pop boob out, feed, pop boob away again. Not sure that modesty has much point if you're wearing a bikini anyway, iyswim.

If it's discretion you're after, what about a t-shirt over the top for feeding, or a vest top?

I do see what you mean, I guess it's because I'm going with my inlaws as well as my DH and I want to try be discrete as possible iywim. I'm probably being over cautious.

I saw one on a nursing bra site which is where I got the idea from. A T shirt sounds like a good idea, I just liked the idea of having the clip that you have on a nursing bra. I've gone up a few cup sizes too since before I was pregnant so I liked the idea of one that's as supportive as a bra. Hope I've made sense.

I got a bikini from Bravissimo for a similar hol including in-laws. Cleo by Panache do really supportive ones. Get as tight a band as you can stand, then go up about 3 cup sizes from what you think you are alternatively go to Bravissimo and get measured. I'm never going back to non bra-size bikinis again. Also got a Calvin Klein one in my bra size which is really supportive and well fitting. Good luck and of your hol!

Freya make great sized bikinis for big cup sizes, I have one for swimming while I'm b'feeding (and boobs are huge), it also has a matching tankini to hide my saggy tummy. Asos stock them, often on sale. I got sized at bravissimo for my nursing bra and just followed that for size.

A floaty kaftan type beach cover up would work for discretion?

I holidayed with a 10 week old and my In Laws. Part of me said "fuck you" and figured if they had an issue (they didn't) they'd have to absent themselves! But I did try to be discreet for my own sake as a bikini isn't much clothing to begin with :) I was less bothered by the pool than at the beach. We were also in Spain where there are plenty of topless women which made me less worried!

Things that worked

• a muslin to drape over my shoulder/boob area when the strap/cup was dropped.
• feeding lying down on a towel/lounger on the beach. Relaxing and the uncovered boob is hidden by the baby, your other boob and your back. My favourite position :)
• loose kaftan thing to hoik up, bikini hoiked down rather in the manner of how you'd feed in normal clothing
• a parasol by a lounger or pn the beach can help provide privacy

I've since holidayed with a 12 week old and will be going away with an 8-10 week old this summer and find this is all pretty discreet and comfortable.

BTW I was a 34L and 34K with my first two (eye watering!) so there was a lot of boob to try and be reasonably discreet with. Bravissimo was great for support and prettiness.

Any bikini that fits and a putting fronted light cheese cloth oversized shirt.

Bikini up or down depending on style and baby tucked under shirt.

I BF DD for years and was never more than 1/2 a cup size bigger than normal at anytime then or when I was PG, so I wouldn't by a fourth road bridge bikini just yet.

lol, I wouldn't have thought of it until I fed my 7 month old on a beach and was a bit apprehensive at first until I realised his hat was covering up more of that side than my bikini was on the other side! Have a lovely holiday :)

I second the lying down thing, in one of those sun tents was brilliant as you can hide away in the back and then the baby stays asleep. (so you sneak to the beach bar while fil babysits!) it does get hot in the tents though.

I had a very flattering speedo one piece and I just did the muslin thing. I found wide straps more comfy as boobs were so heavy! Enjoy your hols!

I had a Freya bra like one and fed dd2 on the beach in it. Was absolutely fine.

No ils around. I wouldn't go on holiday with them anyway though!
