what can I wear on my legs?

I usually wear leggings but in boots and looking like tights. I am unable to wear tights because they aggravate a nasty patch of eczema on my leg

I went shopping yesterday to try and break the leggings habit but I cannot find trousers that fit me
I have chunky calves and very narrow hips. Chinos make me look like I am going riding
Skinnies - I may as well wear leggings which are more comfortable
Boot cut look ok but a bit over and can't put them into boots
I was trying straight cut jeans and trousers but too baggy on the hips
I have a nice pair of linen trousers which are ok but I am a little short for wider legs
I do not want to go down the route of black man made, sweaty material

Jeggings? They are a combination of the two. There are so many types out there now - some are more comfortable than others. Some are tighter at the bottom, and others are looser.

I would personally keep trying different shops. It took me quite a while to find styles and shapes I felt both flattered my figure and made me feel comfortable.

If you are comfortable in leggings couldn't you stick with them? If you felt good in them before then why not now? I tend towards tights as leggings wrinkle at the knee but sometimes wear them. It's better than cold legs. Grin

Jeggings are great too, way more comfy than jeans.

I wear leggings with boots under stretchy mini skirts/dresses. People generally 'skim read' the whole look and then focus on the top half so I treat leggings as tights too. When it's warm enough to go sockless I wear the same but shorter leggings - calves (even chunky ones) and ankles should come out at earliest opportunity imoSmile.

Its for when I give up boots that I need something else because leggings and shoes/pumps does not look good
The jeggings may work because they are not so tight on the ankle, shorter leggings could look ok too

Maybe your shoes are too sensibleGrin. Pretty sure capri pants and sandals hasn't ever gone out of fashion. Maybe milk the 60s vintage look a little.

Ah eczma can be such a pain can't it!

It can get frustrating when you feel like you are in a rut and it is always tricky to get out of it.

Have you considered maxi dresses or skirts? They are not close or clingy so will not rub on the eczma, plus they will cover any problem areas you have, creating a lovely flowing silhouette. They do seem a bit bold when you first try them if its not something you have worn before, but they look incredible and as they are so on trend right now they won't look like a big statement unless you want it to!

I hope this helps,

Nat
