Talk to me about colouring hair

I'm a mouse at the moment , really blond as a child but has got darker as I got older. Now a dull mousy brown, my inner blond is calling me but as a hair colouring virgin I'm unsure what will be best. I will have it done at a salon but what's best ? An all over colour or highlights ,and what's cheaper and a nicer result. How about upkeep is it cheaper for the root touch ups and generally how often would this need to be done, thanks

I can't help with any advice. If I was you I would tell all this to your hairdresser who would be ble to advise you on what's best re colour and upkeep.
