i am 32 and making more of an effort with my appearance. i usually shopped in h&m tkmaxx dorothy perkins oasis warehouse and i like tommy and roxy stuff when i can afford it. now i am thinking is there anywhere else i should be looking?

i still want to look stylish but don't want to be dressing too young for my age, which is my tendency! im 8 - 10 tall and dress smart/casual if that helps

Im having the same dilemma now im 33, feel Im slightly too old for oasis, Love the stuff still but when I wear it i feel 18 again and catch sight of myself in the mirror and do wonder if im mutton! Grin

Also loving Zara, Coast some nice tops mostly and the odd occassional dress if needed, Phase eight - got quite a few wrap tops that I wear with skinny jeans and either flat shoes or boots.

Still love Warehouse too though! Think of that as the grown up version of Oasis. Going to be watching this though to get lots of other ideas to give my credit card a good run out! Smile

I'm 31 and usually shop at Dorothy Perkins, Debebhams and Next. 3 pregnancies has left me at the biggest dress size I have ever been. I have shopped at Simply Be (online) which is for size 14 and up. Smile

Im 34... I shop anywhere/ everywhere! It really depends on budget and the style I'm looking for.

Staples are zara, cos, j crew, jaeger, all saints, marks and spencer autograph and sometimes topshop. I also do a lot on the internet / tkmaxx for designer brands... Dvf, dkny, Vince. My wardrobe is a real mixture but I usually try to go for good quality cuts and fabrics that will last a few seasons rather than fashion stuff.

yes i still love warehouse too.... i know what you mean about Oasis etc.. i just feel a bit weird about wearing the same thing that i know all the 20 year olds are wearing!

i was looking at phase 8 on saturday and i loved some of their tops, i wasn't sure if it was for our age group or not... but im glad you said phase 8!! as i love those nice white flowy tops with jeans and they have nice ones in at the minute. a bit ££ for me though!

ive never really shopped much at next i think i have the perception of it being boring, but i did go in today and they had some lovely clothes - so i know its just my perception of Next. still, i just want something a bit different cos i know everyone i know shops there!

I'm 33 and I love warehouse, oasis, river island, h&m for basics and new look for cheap.

ASOS is fab for ideas and I love all saints, some fat face and white stuff but can be frumpy.

Dorothy Perkins for work wear.

muser No not just you, I do find the clothes in zara lovely to look at but near impossible to get a good fit of anything, I get basics from there and next really.

Like Ted baker too and Id rather spend a bit of money on a good quality top from there than 2 cheap tops from h&m that fall apart after a few washes.

If you live near to a mcarthur glen outlet place have a lok at phase eight or any of the others mentioned here. I got a beautiful dress from ted baker last year for £80, was shopping in town a few weeks later and saw the dress still in the high street stores for £169!

I feel the same about Zara - I'm always seeing lovely stuff on the website or in the window (and I have a friend who shops a lot in there and always looks really stylish) but when I go in the shop it's always like a jumble sale and you have to rifle through to find what you want without a rip/missing button/makeup stain and then when I try it on everything is a weird shape and nothing fits. ((sigh))

I fear I have become a big time frump so watching this thread with interest...

Nearly 34 and shop at Topshop and occasionally River Island. Still desperately hanging on to my youth!

I wouldn't even attempt Zara jeans... I buy stretch high-waisted ones in Dorothy Perkins. Sad There's no hope for me.
