What's best home colour for blondes?

I desperately need to colour my hair. It is medium to dark blonde at the moment and I need to lighten it! I look old like this. What's the best one for blondes which won't look brassy! Please. Cheers peeps.

I've used the L'Oréal perfect blonde highlighting kit lots of times and been happy with the results. I get it done at the hairdressers now because DH hates pulling the hair through the cap for it

I like Feria - it's an all-over colour so easy to apply, but gives varying tones so reasonably natural looking.

If you want to avoid it looking brassy go for an ash shade rather than golden.

the highlight kit is easy.
definitely get someone to help though. It takes ages to pull the hair through.
You can use it without the cap but I've never tried to.
I've never had good results with all over colour myself. And the roots show less with highlights.
My hairdresser will do a cut and streaks for about £40 though so I let them do it now. It was DH's idea though, he wasn't keen
