Hi all,

I'm after a bum covering waterproof parka with a hood. After work when I pick up my son from the nursery I have a 15 minute walk back home and in the current weather I need something that will keep me dry and warm...
Also, I'll need to wear it to work so it needs to be something that will look good on trousers, skirts and dresses...

I would highly appreciate your recommendations...

TIA :)

What sort of price range? Colour preferences?

What size are you? I have this Vero Moda parka in navy and love it. ASOS only have the khaki left (which I'm v tempted by too...):

I found it via this blog post: www.schoolgatestyle.com/2014/01/the-january-style-challenge-1-perfect.html

MrsLettuce Frankly I haven't given much thought to price range. I don't mind spending a bit since I consider jackets and parkas to last long ... but having said that, I'm currently trying to shed my post pregnancy weight so don't want to spend a lot in case I'm successful :)

Colour preferences: Would like a bright colour, but as I said I want to wear it to work... so nothing over the top :)

frankietwospots Size: 14... I do like the look of that asos parka. How is the fit? And thanks for the blog link :)

I have this and I love it. Might be too long for dresses though.

Or this?

Not sure if the link will work but I have this coat and I LOVE it. Don't know your price range and this is certainly expensive, but it seems to me to be the holy grail of coats - light, comfortable, very snug, not too mumsy and completely properly waterproof.

Only XS left in the Vero Moda parka I'm afraid and I'm a size 8 so it fits true to size.

too studenty?

Boden still have some of their waxed cosy parkas in their sale.

I like the look of the Target Dry one - see this blog post and you also get 15% off with code SCHOOLGATE15 www.schoolgatestyle.com/2013/09/back-to-school-style-perfect-waterproof.html

I really like the look of the ASOS one too.

I've just bought the target dry one and I love it! Would def recommend. Warm as toast and dry as a bone. If only I could say the same for my feet!

I have the Target Dry one and it is fab Smile warm, the hood is plenty big enough (I find a lot of hoods aren't big enough), and it is long (I am quite tall) and you get a bag of haribos with your order Wink

I love it that much I have recently bought a summer mac from there.

Oh and I wear it for work every day Smile
