Smart shoes for work, not courts, not ballet?

I'm starting a new job in a formal-ish environment, suits are not required but I will have to be smart. I've bought a pair of healed court shoes from Clarks that have lots of padding so I hope they'll be comfortable, but I'd like an alternative so I'm not wearing the same ones every day. I don't like ballet flats as I feel like a school girl in them. Any other ideas?
