Help needed finding a dress like this but for someone short!

I want a dress exactly like this one. But very annoyingly I have tried this and it's far too long on me with too much fabric. I'm 5ft 1. I have hunted everywhere and it's driving me crazy - seems such a simple thing! So: black, soft jersey, sleeveless, maybe some ruching but not essential, clingy (essential!), just above the knee length, simple neckline.

There's an A by Alexander Wang one I've pinned that looks possible but is bit pricey. Wondering whether to try it out of desperation.

Anyone got any other ideas please? I've convinced myself it's essential to the success of my summer wardrobe, you know dressed up, dressed down etc. Thanks.

this is the A Wang one. Not sure about neckline. And £££. Black doesn't even really suit me but I've just got obsessed. Would consider in another colour though. Wanted the Baukjen one in the pink too; curse them for not doing a petite range!

Could you buy the Isabella Oliver one and take it to get shortened/hemmed? Im short to and do this all the time. Usually costs about a tenner.

Have you looked at Ce Me London? Their dresses have a similar vibe what with being clingy and having a bit of ruching. I have a couple and am always complimented when I wear them - they're very flattering and made from good quality thick jersey. Take a look at their clearance and also the Outnet if you don't want to pay full price as they're often heavily discounted on there. I'm 5'3" and find the length of the knee length dresses pretty much perfect if not slightly on the short side so they should be ok on you too.
