Coloured jeans- would I look as stupid as I think?

I've been looking at coloured jeans for a while and as the warmer weather comes closer I am tempted, but I don't want everyone thinking I look hideous in them

I'm a size 14, very much a pear shape- wide hips and big thighs but long legs, should I take the plunge? Are there any colours I should avoid? I'm desperate to leave indigo jeans behind for a while.

I have a similar figure and made the mistake of buying a pastel colour pair without trying them on. Didn't look good! I find the more autumn colours better for me i.e. burgundy, although would also contemplate bright red.

Well I wear them. In fact I love them. Hard to comment on colours as to some extent that will depend your colouring but I'd say that really light colours can sometimes make one look bigger.

Thanks for the replies, I'll probably avoid pastels and white as I'm not that brave, but I am really pulled to a bright red pair.

I'm very fair skinned, so I can look washed out easily.

I'm definitely big on my bottom half but i love coloured jeans. I have them in khaki, burgundy, teal, mauve and grey. I would avoid pastels though as they can make you look bigger than you really are.

I've been eyeing up colourful jeans for awhile, but haven't yet braved them. Mainly because I don't know what i'd wear on my feet...
What goes with different colours?
I'm clueless at stuff like this.

I mainly wear brown boots, black boots, black flats, black converse or grey converse. How would I know what colour goes with what jeans??

I'm a size 14 and loved my burgundy coloured jeans, everyone said they looked nice. Gutted that I'm too pregnant to fit in them ATM.
