Does a self tan like this really exist?

I am fairly pale skinned and feel its now time to start feeling a little bronzed.

Whenever I've used self tan and gradual tanners in the past they have always sat in the pores on my legs, face and arms and looked horrible.

I'd love something that makes my skin look smooth, glowing, bronzed and not streaky. I don't want to be really dark just a sun kissed glow for now, but then getting darker as summer approaches

Am I asking too much or does a product really exist? Hmm

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze clear gel is fantastic - great colour and foolproof - love it Grin

It's a doddle. You can get it for light skin or medium and as I said its foolproof Grin

I second the L'Oreal.. someone asked me did I get a spray done and I didn't even fuss when applying it.. once you've the mitt. Now if you like that but want a very subtle but nice colour Ambre Soleil (sp) do one that's really lovely. Will think of the name..

Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer .. there is a picture of an apricot on the front. I usually use this if I just don't want to be blue white and top up with Rimmel Sunshimmer Light Wash Off if going out. The L'Oreal is dark enough.. even the light one.

TANTASTIC instant colour leg gel is amazing , develops into lovely, long lasting no streak or patchy fade colour for palies

How long does it last and what do you do as it starts to fade in patches? I would like one to dry quickly but not so quick that you can't blend it in. Is the LOreal one tinted so you can see what you have done?

You can buy a tinted one which is good too but I use the clear one because I prefer untinted (doesn't rub off on clothes etc) and the texture is great and it's really easy to feel if you've missed anywhere.

I've also used the Ambre Solaire one and hated it, as did my daughter - streaks everywhere! Shock

I love St Tropez and it works well for me. I use the gradual tanner for my legs and the mousse for all over colour pre-holidays. The only thing is that you must exfoliate and moisturise well first, oh and use the mitt for the mousse.

Superdrug have a few quid off St Tropez at the moment.

Hi fabmum

m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Sublime-Bronze-Self-Tanning-Fresh-Feel-Gel-150ml_5399/#un_jtt_addtohome_hidden

I've used St Tropez and found it much harder to use, more prone to streaks and very messy although it is a nice colour..

Hi there, make sure you shave exfoliate and moisturise the night before, so your pores have time to close, this can help the tan from sticking to your open pores.

Also have a quick shower before applying it but do not use shower gel, this help remove any residue of the moisturiser that can act as a barrier.

Always use a mirror and a tanning mitt.

However if you are using a moisturising tan, you do not need to do the above.

St tropez is nice, although I do not use it as I find the colour quite orange.

Vita liberata is a lovely tanning mousse that you apply once for a light coverage let it develop for 2 hours then you can wash it of and ready to go. It dries really quick which helps if you have children. You can repeat this process 3 times and each time your tan will get darker, but the best thing about this tan is unbelievably it lasts 2WEEKS!!!
How ever it is £30 a bottle, but well worth it..

Sorry for jumping aboard tanning is my job so thought I would share some knowledge Grin

I don't find I need touse a mitt with L'Oreal because it's so quick to apply - I just wash my hands thoroughly afterwards.. And I also don't seem to need to moisturise knees etc before applying. You may be different though.

It really is great.

"If you hav children?"

Report

Yes 'if you have children'

It's not sticky, and instead of most tans you leave on overnight you can wash it of after 2 hours.............
