Monstrously Important Clothing Dilemma - help!

I got DD a nice tunic and leggings thing from Bratislava M+S, indigo collection.

I don't know which way round the tunic goes.

It is denim blue with flowers. Has side pockets. Has horizontal elastic front and back to shape a little at the waist. On one side there is a set of vetical buttons to the waist on a navy backing (so quite obvious/ not hidden buttons). Now, if you look at it flat, it's quite clearly higher backed on the side with the buttons. And there is a fashion thing for visible zips/ fastenings up the back (thanks Gok/ whoever thought that was great!).

It does look a bit wrong though with the buttons up the back. Yesterday the Childminder swapped it round... but you can't do up the last button or it is a bit high/ chokey. Also the label (normally the back clue) is on the side with buttons...

So, which way round is this ruddy thing supposed to go? It looks marginally better buttons at the front with the top undone but I think that is not correct!

Advice or mocking allowed.

If it's got a care label on the inside side seam, then that should be on your left hand side as it is being worn.

Thank you- with the care label on left, the buttons will run down the back, which agrees with the facts of indigo label in back and that it's higher on that buttoned side.

(It does look awfully like one of those little buttons-up-front teadresses though when worn the other way round!) Still, DD went in a different outfit today to the childminder so this won't be an issue.
