Quick! Buy this dress! Mine just arrived and I feel happy with the way I look in it for the first time since about 2009. Also I might be nearer a 22 and it fits perfectly.

You're welcome.

Nice pattern - much better IMO than most prints from Anna Scholz, which tend to be garish. The navy background makes it classy. And, for AS, it's good value with the sale reduction. She's usually exorbitantly £££.

Sadly would be no good for me because it's sleeveless - I don't do sleeveless and, while I'm quite prepared to spend £100 on a nice dress, am not prepared to pay that for one I can't ever wear without a cover-up.

But plenty of people, even if they take larger sizes, look good in sleeveless and this sounds as if it's great on you. Enjoy!

Thanks plantsitter my friend is having total anguish about finding clothes at the moment, she has a lot of events coming up, and a couple of holiday,

She is in a bit of a state about the whole things, so any recommendations for those sizes will be very helpful,

she keeps getting very frustrated, she is tall (big chest) so often finds the cuts wrong, long tall sally don't do much,

we made a list of the items she needs, and are having real difficulty locating things, we live in the back end of no where, and the nearest cities, are limited, she gets really stressed out shopping(panic/tears),

any suggestions where to look very gratefully received, we are running out of time, so she is getting more upset.

As a tall size 22, I recommend she try Boden - I avoid the garish patterns and some things come up better than others for any particular body shape, so I do send back lots of things I order but I do get most of my basic stuff there after a bit of trial and error.

The reviews on their site are often very helpful - eg in saying that an item is or isn't generous on the bust. And their delivery and returns service is usually very good.

For a special occasion - eg guest at a wedding - I've just followed the recommendation of someone else on this site of Carolyn de la Drapiere. I haven't had my dress from her made yet - still choosing - but have been to her studio and she has some lovely things and sells online too.

Yes I agree some Anna scholz patterns are gopping. Also age on the boden thing and your friend might want to look at wrap online (can't link as on phone).

Yes agree Wrap - some nice things though tend to be quite pricy. Also a lot are shapeless/ baggy this season which isnt the best idea if you're large.
