Is this jumper mumsy?

I quite like this jumper and might buy it as my birthday present - but will I look like a Boden mum? I'm trying to move away from looking like a Boden mum and trying to look at bit more on-trend. What could I wear it with that would ensure it didn't look mumsy?

Skinny jeans, chunky jewellery, that's All I can think of at this time of night

I can think of a lot of things I'd buy for £135 than a jumper - especially this hideous one

Yes, mumsy and rank...

Not mumsy but HOW MUCH?

£135 for that jumper?!?!

Surely the best way to not look like a Biden mum is not to buy boden Confused

Do people really pay £135 for a jumper?

If that's the case I don't think I'll last long on MN

It's gorgeous but you can get ten jumpers just as nice as that in Primark.

I think it's quite nice and wouldn't necessarily have guessed it was boden, but I think you could do better for the money TBH.

I think some of this season's boden stuff is actually quite nice!

Thought I'd use my birthday money to treat myself to something special - looks like it shouldn't be that jumper Blush

The cashmere will bobble fairly quickly so may be worth buying something in merino or lambs wool. For that amount y

Spend your money on something nice. Not that jumper.

Snowgirl - it doesn't matter what other people on here think - if you really like it, and want to treat yourself - then go for it! Lovely bright colours and would be very soft.

Stop saying mumsy! Just stop it!

That jumper is boring, whether you are a mum or child free IMO, I think you could find smething much nicer for the amount you have to spend.

Not that. Not for £135. That needs to be interlock jersey or cotton for £30. For £135 you need a classic cashmere jumper or cardi in a neutral colour that really suits you and will last for at least 10 years. Not saying the impact of that jumper isn't nice but it isn't £135 nice.

I wear LOADS of Boden (thanks eBay :) ) and I wouldn't wear this.
Is that a good recommendation?

They have very similar jumpers to that in Gap, and they have a sale on at the moment. That jumper will look out of date very quickly.

Buy a plain jumper for that amount of money, which will last you for years.

I like the jumper. But I wouldn't pay £135 for it. It's too striking and I'd probably get bored of it.

Totally get spending that money in decent cashmere and have done but buy classics - look at Brora. Or good old John Lewis for may around £100. I adore cashmere and have loads - it I worth spending the money on. The Brora sale is great too.

Iris and Ink ( the Outnet's own brand) have lovely cashmere for £135. They have beautifully thin grey and navy crewnecks, and grey with colour block tourquoise sleeves if you are looking for something that is a bit more of a "stand-out" piece.

I don't think the jumper is too bad, but for £30. For that much money, it's terrible.

Loving the 'trying to not look like I wear Boden' by buying Boden.
The jumpers ok, but I think there's alot better jumpers for £135.

You would need to be tiny for it to look good. High st full of cheap bright things ATM so seems very overpriced.
