Petite (28") skinny jeans (again!)

I seem to start a thread like this every six months, just as I find a perfect fit, the design gets changed Angry

Topshop no longer do Baxters in 28"
Topshop Jamies lose their shape (last summer's now baggy and saggy)
Dorothy Perkins now don't fit round the waist

I'm a size 10, slim waist but wider hips & runners' thighs! Need a reasonably high waist.

Can anyone help?!

Oh and would love to find some nice skinny cords too.

I bought these in a jeans emergency this week (the ones I was wearing were 'distressed' ones, and one of the holes tore on the way to a coffee date in the most obscene fashion Blush) and they are actually really good!
They are quite high waisted, generous on the thigh but still nice and skinny on the ankle. Have only washed them once so far, but all seems well. Not bad for all of £8!

Thanks, they only seem to be available in regular or long though? I need short!

River island do many with a 'short' 'reg' or 'tall' option. I think the regular is about 30inch.

You could also try searching for cropped, or 'ankle' in the title, which will bring the leg higher on you.

Also New Look. Those 'Yes' jeans. I have a short pair that I use as cropped. Most likely a 28".

Sometimes Wallis do them, in petite range.

If all else fails just roll em up or get them shortened. I have some Aubin&Wills skinny cords that are about 3 inches too long and i just turn them up :)

Ah, I'm a roller too Teacakes, I forget that they can be worn normally too Grin
I've never had jeans the right length shortarse so rolling the bottom is automatic!

Oh I hate wearing roll-ups. I'll have a look in New Look - bought from them for ages but stopped a couple of years ago as the quality & fit seemed to have gone shit.

Did you find any skinny cords in the end?

I know this is a bit of and old topic but really want some skinny cords.

I have been living in primark £9 indigo skinnies, keeping their shape at the moment, they are a short length (I'm 5'1 but am shorter in body than leg)
River Island nice skinny jeans "Amelie" also in a short length
Uniqlo will shorten them for you.
Zara were doing some ankle length skinnies which when I held them up to me seemed like "normal" length.
Have you tried Miss Selfridge? Their skinnies are quite nice and they do a petite length which I think is 28"
Good luck!

Next petite for me too, I'm 5f1 and a size 10 too
For skinny cords I got Gap skinny cord jeggings - they're not petite but fit well as they are supposed to be short I think!

Was going to say Topshop Jamies. Sad to see they go baggy, as I'm currently loving mine!

Have you tried the M&S ones in short?

Gap skinnies I love them...great length and decently placed waist.
Think they are approx £45 but 30% off offer on just now.
I am a size 8 but get the size 4A and they are perfect.

Gap 'real skinny' - amazing jeans. I'm sure they do cords too!
(I'm even wearing the maternity version so I can still get my skinny fix!)
If you buy online I'd advise ordering a few sizes, because they seem to vary between colours/styles

Gap do amazing skinnies. Have bought dd 2 pairs of jeans in a size 2' 28" leg and one pair of cords in the same size. They fit and wash like a dream.

If you've got a Gap outlet near you, they sell the American stock. I've bought the 'ankle' length jeans in premium skinny and premium boyfriend fit and they are great (although a bit low rise). I also have chunky thighs and most jeans don't fit well.

I haven't bought from Esprit, but I think they do shorter leg trousers - might be worth trying, they have free delivery too. Places like La Redoute and Zalando might have trousers too, it is a complete nightmare if you want to buy quickly.

I recently tried on at least twelve pairs of jeans in various shops, in my fairly rubbish local town, I would need at least a 4 hour round trip to my nearest city for more choice - but no guarantee I would find some to fit.

Wish jeans were like bras and came in many more sizes (30G norks and short legs) bra shopping isn't easy for me but I can usually find a bra in my size but I don't think I have ever had decent jeans that really fit me well.
