Confused about my hair type and what shampoo I should try

I'm 38, hair is about 10% grey (and the grey ones always seem strong and unruly!), short and in reasonable condition according to my hairdresser. Yet it feels greasy the second day (I wash it every second day). Seems quite dull and rough in texture to me - contrary to what hairdresser says. I've been semi-perm colouring it for a couple of years but have decided to stop dying it now - inspired by the going grey thread. I blow dry it every second day.

I'm willing to pay more than before for decent shampoo and conditioner with the money saved on colouring it. And I tell myself if it's in fab condition then the grey hairs won't look so bad.

Any recommendations in the £20 max/250ml price range? Aveda? Phyto?

I can't even figure out if I need deeper conditioner for the rough texture, or will that make my hair feel greasy?

Thanks

I think, as you've been colouring and your hair feels dull and rough, that this fantastic Elasticizer pre-shampoo treatment would do the trick because it'll take away that texture but not grease your hair. It leaves hair in really healthy condition.

I'm not usually a buy it off the supermarket shelf person really but this caught my eye the other day and I thought I'd give it a whirl. So far, I love it www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Paris-Hair-Expertise-EverStrong-Reinforcing-Vitality-Shampoo-250ml_1250657/?CAWELAID=1180596124

Thank you!

Any other shampoo/conditioner recommendations for daily use?
