They have the babyliss waving wand in Sainsburys reduced from £40 to £18. I bought mine on Friday, used for the first time today. It's brilliant - even I managed to do a decent job and I'm crap with hair!

Ooh, that sounds promising. Is it quite time consuming or not?

Am desperately looking for something like this that I could use in the mornings.

Not too bad. It didn't take me any longer to curl than it did to straighten/big hair it. I reckon about 10 mins - I have just past shoulder length hair but there isn't loads of it. Seems to have staying power too and I didn't really use any products on it.

I am gutted with by BBH Sad I had such high hopes for it after all the recommendations on here so I got one last week, but the effect only lasts a short while before it all drops out boohoo. I do much better with a big round brush & a lot of time so everyday swishy hair is not going to be happening in this house.

I guess I'll have to bung it on eBay, it should sell in the run up to Christmas. V upset!

Yeah, BBBH is pretty crap and last only a short while. I think it's only good for people who are crap with a big round brush and a hairdryer.

How big is the barrel of the waving wand? I fancy a really big one

I have the same problem with the BBH but I was a small improvement on how I look without it Wink The waving wand has a sort of rectangular shaped barrel so it doesn't do tight curls. I am so pleased with it! This is the first time I've actually been able to do anything with my hair that doesn't make me look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards Grin

Do you need to dry your hair first with a hairdryer and then use the tongs right at the end?

Yep
