Skin a mess, blackheads but flaky...any wonder products to help?

Mid 30's, skin always been ok, recently my t zone has become more congested (have always had blocked pores but noticeably more so recently) but the skin on my nose is so dehydrated its flaking off to the point it gets sore. Again, I periodically suffer with this and at the moment I'm tired and a bit rundown.

I use md formulations cleanser and an oil free moisturiser and until now was happy with the combination. Does anyone know of anything that will address that flakiness without further congesting my poor skin?????

I am awaiting a miracle cure too...always had ok skin but mid 30s and my forehead is exactly as you describe. I NEVER had probs with this area and now I look like a teenager. The blackheads are so big that they are really visible, but yet the skin is so dry. Hopefully someone will be along in a minute with a potion to help! :)

Have you tried going without moisturiser? My skin used to be exactly like what you describe but improved a lot when I gave up moisturiser and foundation. Washed with Liz Earle C&P until it cleared up then stopped using that too. Now I take make up off with Simple and wash with just water and haven't had any problems with congestion for 5 months and moisture levels have sorted themselves out on their own.
