I think I'm trying to find something that doesn't exist - black shoes help pretty please.

I am looking for some black shoes. I don't want a huge heel and platform (4-5 inches), I don't want a stiletto (need to walk on grass/uneven ground in them), I also don't want a really clumpy heel (the dress I'm going to wear is black silk with a small painted silver pattern to it, sleeveless and knee-length). I've looked and looked and the only shoes I can see are either peep toes (would like to wear tights really), stupidly high strippers shoes or hideous clump-heel mary-janes.

The last time I needed some black shoes I had to opt for black knee length boots. I can't do that this time as the dress is just to dressy. Please help, surely there exists a beautiful black evening shoe with a 4" heel that is not a stiletto, a wedge, a platform or a mary-jane (and costs under £50 preferably)? Sad

Something like this, or is it too stiletto ish? Not sure I know what heel you want if you don't want clumpy but don't want stiletto? shop.nordstrom.com/s/steve-madden-intrude-pump/3293983?origin=category&cm_ven=Linkshare&cm_cat=partner&cm_pla=10&cm_ite=1&siteId=J84DHJLQkR4-IHUQJ3XY7QiZhKBkHqULTw&pprd=0

Look at moda in pelle- I got a really nice and v comfy pair of kind of cone heeled black suede ones. Can't link on iPad, sorry. They were about £60.

These might be a close match although the heel might be a little too clumpy for you.
These are cool but the colour on the heel might be wrong for your outfit.

I love the steve madden pumps, but the heels are just too skinny for coir matting and a very uneven path to and from the marquee.

The Dune ones are a bit frumpy, and I'm not too keen on patent.

I love both the Zara ones, the pink heel is a bit much for a black and silver outfit, but the glitter ones could work. Think I need to order them and try them with the outfit.

Thanks so much.

How do you feel about wedge heels? these are probably too high, but how do you feel abut the general shape?

I'm rubbish at this game. I like these, especially the solver detail on the heel but they're stupidly spenny.

Oooh, thanks Lulu. I really like those Dune wedgies. I love wedge heels but they often look wrong on a shoe (always perfect on a sandle though). It doesn't matter so much about height with a wedge as I find I can walk really easily in them. They are a bargain too.

The Hobbs ones are nice, but I think the button may be a little bit HRH. Like the Asos ones also but the ankle strap will make my big legs look even chunkier. Love the Asos wedgies too.

Lulu - you are brilliant at this game. Grin
