I need new shoes for a new job which involves a couple of arts events with occasionally impressive people (no idea who yet though) because all I have at the moment is trainers and big chunky boots.
I am in my 20s and don't really like to wear heels, so I was thinking of brogues or something like that. I have found a couple I like, but I just can't make my mind up about colour and style. Budget is £50-60 (absolute max), cheaper but not too flimsy would be even better.
These are the ones I like so far:

Also, how essential is a blazer? I'm quite new to the kind of job that requires formal-ish clothes and would like to look presentable, but not too dowdy. Have been spending a long time in jeans & trainers/baggy dress & cardigan type outfits and feel it's time to move on.
Any help much appreciated! Has anyone seen the Dr Martens in person? Not sure any shops in my town stock them.
