Merrell Haven

Following on from the warm, waterproof coat thread, I have fallen in love with the Merell Haven. Has anyone got a particularly good deal on one this year in either the brown or charcoal, and if so how much and where? I think I saw it for £99 on ebay new, although have since struggled to find the same seller!

Thanks!

Inspired by the same thread, i bought a 'granite' one from here

It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't vouch for the service, but the price is good.

My local Sports Direct have the Cinder (brown) one for £134.

I got all excited then mrsw, but unfortunately only the white one is that cheap at f&t.

Thanks also atruth, but I need large and hey don't have that in stock. Is granite black by the way? I wish they would just say the actual colour! Weirdly different retailer give all the coats different colour names too just to confuse me further.

Any more tips anyone?

Damn. I think you.might be right. I thought granite would be grey but it makes more sense for it to be black. Bugger. Am trying to get away from black!

I have an unworn Haven in S, in the khaki green colour. I bought it last year and it's not really right for me. I paid £69 from Sports Direct. It is really well made and warm.

Despite trying to branch out from my usual boring black, I got the haven in black last week from sheactive for £75. I absolutely love it! It's very toasty and warm and I don't get wet anymore!

To balance out the black coat I also bought coloured skinnies and some bright scarves :-)

Boo hiss, I can't find it particularly cheaply anywhere. Charcoal seems to be very light grey so I have struck that off the list so I'm after cinder in a large now. Itsafineline, I wish I could squeeze into yours and buy it off you! I will check out the outdoor place you mentioned windywendy. I am very excited about owning one they sound lovely.

If 'granite' turns out to be 'black' windywendy I will try that Grin or pm Itsafineline and try to buy hers.

I haven't posted pics on here before, but I'll have ago at putting a pic of me muggling it on my profile. It can't be that difficult. Smile

Right, am paying more attention now. Just been in cupboard to check mine. Is XS, which is a size 8. I am an 8, but large of nork, and it is just a teensy bit too tight on the bust. (35"). I only had 7 days to send it back and I for some reason, didn't manage that, so it's unworn in the cupboard. I also got the most horrendous SportsDirect mug free with it, but thankfully, I've chucked that out. Colour - can't recall the exact shade name, I have a feeling it might have been cinder brown, but anyway, it is NOT brown, it is the current on-trend shade of khaki.

I got mine (cinder) for £70 from Go Outdoors. They are £153 at the moment but keep an eye on them as they often sell them cheap.

So, what colour IS granite ChablisLover ?

Report
SneezySnatcher · 30/09/2012 21:08

californiastars I love it! It's so warm, water just runs off it and it looks pretty stylish whilst still being functional. I'd recommend sizing up so you can fit layers under it (although it's pretty warm so you may not need layers). I'm a size 10 but got a M.

I think it was granite.

Will check and get back to you
