girls winter shoes/boots

It's that dreaded time when dd needs winter shoes, but clarks, startrite et al are so expensive. Can anyone recommend good quality shoes from anywhere a bit cheaper? Just spent loads on school shoes and not really able to afford too much for weekend shoes.

Depending on your DD's size M and M have these startrite boots which I decided not to go for in the end as wanted something other than black.
