Please help me find a nice maternity dress

I have a few things coming up in the next 4 weeks and need at least one new dress. I only have one dress that fits and is a bit dressy but I've worn that twice in the last few weeks so need someething new.

I'm 5'3" at a push, about a maternity size 10 I reckon, but sizes vary so much it's confusing. I have pale skin and dark hair, and have fat knees that I want to cover up. I also have a small budget, probably about £40. Oh and I will probably need to wear flats for at least one of these occasions.

The best I can find so far is this ASOS dress.

Can anyone find anything else?

How far along are you? Does it have to be maternity or could you still wear loose or empire line non maternity?

This is the only other dress I can find that I like.

I can't find anything in new look, DP, M&S, Debenhams, where else can I try?

I'll be 30 weeks for the first of these parties, but I'm pretty big, I really don't think I could get away with non maternity. Sad

I was a bridesmaid at 36 weeks (and huge) and still managed to get into a non-maternity dress in a bigger size...think i needed to pin it a little bit under the arms but it looked fine....

Have you tried Isabella Oliver?

If you do buy that dress, get an 8 and a 10 so you can send one back. I find asos maternity dresses quite large, I'm a 10-12 (more of a 12) and the 12 dresses are huge on me.

I can't afford IO unfortunately.

My sister has just told me she was wearing non maternity dresses till the end too. I've tried a few on but they just look silly as they're too big round my shoulders, lift up at the front, or just look frumpy. I'd be willing to try a non maternity one if it looked like it might work.

Thanks for the tip LolaAnn.

IO has a sale on for 41% today only.

Does that help?

Hmm, just had a look, but they seem a bit daytime really, apart from the much more expensive ones.

Why is this so hard???
