Double cleansing

Right - this question is probably going to make me sound like the stupidest person from Stupidville but...

I've seen a few people on here saying that they double cleanse at night - once to take their make-up off and then again to actually clean their face.

Do you simply just cleanse your face with whatever product you're using and then do it again. Or do you use something different for the first and second time?

I cleanse both times with Boots No7 hot cloth cleanser. I only double cleanse because I do a mask every night and I dont feel clean unless I double cleanse after the liz earle clay one.

I dont on the nights I use the dermalogica multivitamin one.

Some people use a make up remover, then a skin cleanser.

I use the same cream cleanser, twice. Then always tone after that, to get rid of cleanser residue. I have really oily congested skin though, so if your skin is normal or dry you might not need to do the toning bit.

I use all kinds of cream cleanser, depending on budget. Current favourite is Clarins extra gentle cream cleanser, but I've also used Superdrug, No. 7, and several others.
