Style and beauty

Two questions please 1) Where do you buy your knickers? 2) Where can I find a long jersey dress?

I need a whole new drawer of knickers. I have a few nice pairs for special occasions Blush but need some everyday ones. I used to buy 5 pack of black cotton high legs from Asda but they fall apart so I fancy something nicer but that won't break the bank.

Also, for the first time in years I'm slim enough to dress as I want to this summer, rather than feeling like I need to cover up. I'd love a long jersey dress that I can wear with a nice long necklace and some sandals, ideally black or navy I think. I'm not brave enough for a bright colour yet.

I tried one on in Dorothy Perkins but it had a slit up the sides which looked awful on me and I wasn't keen on the v-neck. Have you seen any I might like?

I sort of don't know where to look because when I was bigger I only shopped in Evans/Matalan. I'm a size 10-12, hourglass with 32C boobs now if that helps at all.

M&S for everyday pants, or figleaves, not very exciting but this leaves £ for other more exciting stuff.

There are a couple of long dresses here and here, I was in there today, their dresses seem to accommodate my rather large norks quite well.

Knickers - M&S three for a tenner
Jersey dresses - try The White Company - more expensive than Dotty Ps but much better quality.

Cinnamon Thanks for those links, I really like the stripy one. I'll have a look in store and see if I can try one on.
I'll have a look in La Senza and M&S for knickers when I'm in town too, don't have a Debenhams though. I hate spending money on knickers because no one sees them, would rather buy a new top with the money, but the cheap ones fall apart so its a false economy really. My knicker drawer is shameful at the moment, they are all the wrong size and falling apart, I'll have to buy a complete new set I think.

Omg- I discovered GAP knickers about a year ago and they are fab, so comfy.
I always buy in the sale and just love em love em. Also they have really pretty designs. But only good if you don't mind not matching you're bra! Luckily I'm not a matchy person.
Jersey dresses- French connection do some good ones- and they are on sale online at the moment.
Have fun!,

I've found this one here but I've never bought from there. Is it likely to be poor quality? Its only £18. Not sure about size either, whether to go for a 10 or a 12? If I get the wrong size do you have to pay to return it and then pay for delivery for the new one? It could end up really pricey.

Ideally, I want this here but in black or navy, but its £££ and an american site I think, hope the link works.

Also, talking about knickers - what knickers would you wear under a dress like that? Last time I had a jersey fabric dress it clung to my knickers and I always had to go commando in it!

Since having had 3 DC's I would now wear these or similar. These spanx ones seem to be quite breathable-ish and not too hot in summer. Or if I get my figure back enough a seem free thong which is what I would have done a few years ago.
