Suitable clothes for an almost 9 year old

Really hoping that someone can help.

DD will be 9 in December. She is very broad both in her chest and hips. Doesn't help that she had a pot belly either. She's outgrown girls clothes sizes in all the shops we've tried (incl, M&S, H&M, Tesco, etc.) I've resorted to trying to find her something in small ladies sizes but the cuts aren't right or the styles are too old/innapropriate. I'm looking for suggestions where I might find suitable clothes. Am I going to have to resort to learning to sew properly.

Next do up to age 15 in their ranges ..there are some subtle bits for youngers..also they do a plus fit on some items so they are bigger around waist but not longer.

Thanks. Didn't know about the plus fit in Next. Will try there again. I'll have to look up where the closest Zara kids is. Always thought Gap would be too narrow. Will have to try again.

My DD is 9y and went on a big shopping trip yesterday. She got some lovely clothes from Next, Zara, H&M, Debenhams and Pumpkin Patch - all int he older girls ranges. I have found that once you go into the 10+ type ranges they have a big more development room in them, esp round the chest.

My 9 yr old is the same shape. She wears age 12-13 in gap and zara. Gap has a good sale on at the moment too. Don't know what I will do when she grows out of these sizes though!

my DD is also a similar size and shape. She wears age 13-14 years clothing, and she is 8! Don't try the plus sizes, they really are huge around the waist. I find Boden is a good fit, also Debenhams blue zoo range, H&M and actually some Tesco items (bit of a range there).

My near 9year old struggles, she loves leggings but we have to find appropriate tops for her middle. She has some lovely shirts from h&m and we just did a Zara shop together and bought some lovely things. She fits into 11-12 things in joules we love their polos and jumpers.

She loves waistcoats too, over a shirt.
