The styling is awful but for 35 it has promise if my 1985 one can't cope at teh seams Grin

But it's only £35 and people who go into prostitution usually don't have a lot of spare cash.

Be honest Annette is it what you wore on QT?

Report

Did you ever find a levver skirt Mrs CB?

Report
MrsCampbellBlack · 05/10/2011 19:55

No - although boden one on its way. I have tried so many that am actually sick of them now Smile

MissBeehiving · 05/10/2011 19:57

It's tiresome when that happens - takes the shine off a new purchase a bit. I'm sure your perseverence will be rewarded though Smile

Ew. What is it with all these hi.de.ous leather skirts atm? I blame that Beyonce. That Mango one is quite nice if you're 25 with legs like a young gazelle, but for the the rest of us? Really? I also noticed this one, a snip at 300 of your pounds sterling on the Mary Portas site, which looks like a bin liner. And not in an 80s Debby Harry good way. <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=xena+warrior+princess&um=1&hl=en&biw=1064&bih=920&tbm=isch&tbnid=1GBT9e8sxjevjM:&imgrefurl=justjared.buzznet.com/2008/06/21/rainn-wilson-xena-warrior-princess/&docid=ay_Ec0xvbZqPqM&w=300&h=327&ei=SqiMTpWSKsKn0AXc9ejWBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=777&vpy=353&dur=1799&hovh=234&hovw=215&tx=118&ty=135&page=1&tbnh=157&tbnw=158&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">midnightexpress, warrior princess.

Shortlist had a load of nice looking leather skirts today. I am now of that age where instead of thinking "Ooh, I'll buy one of those" I think "Ooh, I've got one of those, it's in wardrobe C, filed under 1997".

Suede mid-calf A line, should be fine with heels I think.

They also had lots of pointy toed stiletto ankle boots - I've got some of those in the back of the wardrobe too, in a rather pleasing gunmetal shade, but I haven't worn them for years because they're so dated. Do you think I could wear them now? And what with? Sorry for veering wildly off topic.

I've just ordered this (fake) leather one from Miss Selfridge

Saw it in Heat magazine on some bint from TOWIE a couple of weeks ago, and she was wearing a teal blouse with it and nude platforms. First time in ages I've looked at an outfit and thought "I like that"! So thought I'd go for it and see what it's like.

Have just re-read previous paragraph and decided there is no hope for me... I'm going to be MUTTON aren't I? Grin
