I am thinking of saving to get this www.barbourbymail.co.uk/Barbour-Ladies-International-Jacket.html. Has anyone got one - are they worth it? Is it very heavy and hot (no stockist nearby so will have to buy online). Any advice gratefully received.

Javo, I just bought the Utility jacket from the same supplier. I opted for free postage (it only took 3 days to receive parcels from date of order). It meant I could order 6(!) different jackets, try on and return - they were quick with refunds!

Doesn't answer your question though, does it? Grin

Javo, I got the same Jacket from John Lewis. It isnt hot and heavy at all. I love it and wear it most of the time. I would say it does come up a bit short in the body though.

Thank you, thank you everyone that is just what I wanted to know. Jobags I too thought it may be short in the body and Lottielou I'm 5'4 too and used to arms being long on me. Good to know it is light - ish as I like to layer and find very hot coats a problem (I walk a lot). I have a good longer coat so wanted something shorter to replace a much hated mini trench - I just worried about spending so much. I looked at cheaper fashion versions in Zara and H&M but the fabric was rubberised rather than waxed and the very yellow brass poppers looked at bit gaudy.

Thanks again for your replies - will oredr it and also a bum - covering one and send one back .
