Cheap autumn work wardrobe?

I am on a mission to lose 3.5 - 4 stone this year. I am 2.5 stone down so far and my summer clothes are hanging off me....My autumn/winter clothes are all going to be too big too (Yay!)

I am saving up to have a big splurge on clothes when I reach my traget (hopefully in time for Christmas/the sales!) - but I need some new but cheap clothes to tide me over October/November. Was thinking of trawling some nice charity shops, or maybe have a look on ebay, but that can be very hit and miss - so any ideas on where I can get some cheap and cheerful stuff for work?

I'm office based so smart/casual - I usually wear dark trousers with nice tops/jumpers. Not too bothered about quality as I am not buying to last as long as it looks ok!

Depends what you mean by cheap, but Gap do nice work trousers that wash well - a couple of pairs of those with some cheap knitwear/ blouses from George or Tesco/ Tu at sainsburys should see you through to Christmas

For cheap and cheerful, I agree, try the supermarkets. Sainsbury or Asda. Not worth spending loads on something that'll be too big by Christmas. I have found some great stuff in charity shops, particularly smart trousers and shirts. Ebay is more risky as you probably aren't sure what size you are at the moment.

Well done on losing the weight! I lost 1.5 stone last summer and had to buy a load of new winter stuff too - not that I needed any excuse. Thank goodness I still fit into it this year.

Peacocks, Matalan, Asda and Tesco.

Ooooh I love, love, love the Mango Outlet site - Think the long red and blue numbers may be a little OTT for my office but there are some lovely things on that site. A bit different from what I would usually wear but maybe I can do a nice smart tunic dress and leggings now! How exciting.

Yes, I think the supermarkets may be the way to go I'd forgotten about TU, I seem to remember thinking their stuff was a bit nicer than Tescos stuff (which never fits me right!) - and I did get a great work suit from Matalan a couple of years ago.

Thanks guys!
