Mary Portas for Clarks

Sorry if this has been mentioned already - couldn't find it.

She's launched a new range here. I don't normally shop in Clarks, but think they look a bit LK Bennett-y on the website. Haven't seen them in the flesh or tried them on.

Was wondering if anyone's tried them and if they are any good? If they're rubbish I'd rather save up and buy a nice pair of LK Bennett heels (they seem quite expensive if they are just normal Clarks type shoes)

They look great, but don't go up to what I would consider a decent size (9). Which is deeply silly of Mary Portas, considering she must be at least a 9 herself, and quite possibly a 10. Doesn't she want to wear her own shoes?

Personally, I think L K Bennett are far nicer - and worth saving for - and the Mary shoes not very inspiring - in fact, the only flat one looks downright naff, IMO.

L K Bennett sometimes have reductions - eg in certain magazines or to people on their online mailing list - and it's worth looking out for those. Afraid I don't know of one at the moment, though.

Polyhymnia I know - I got some LK Bennett pumps in a really good sale, and I love them and they are v comfy, but they haven't worn fantastically well (leather soles and because they are flat I do walk lots in them). The ones I like never seem to be reduced now though...

Gawd I must be getting old, my first thought looking at them is that the heel would make them uncomfortable!

saw them in House of Fraser the other day. They are okay but not amazing. Sorry that is not very helpful.
