hot date - outfit needed

Ladies I need help.
I have a hot date on Friday and I have high hopes for it! First 'date' so meeting late afternoon for a drink. Hopefully it will go well and we will go on somewhere else and I won't be home by 6pm!

I really don't know what to wear though. Don't won't to be too casual incase we go on somewhere later but don't want to be too done up either when meeting in the afternoon.

I am going shopping tomorrow to buy an outfit but don't know where to start. Would jeans with top and heels be ok or would a dress be better. All the dresses I have look better with heels but then I'd maybe look overdone.

Any ideas????

what about a tunic dress with leggings?

Personally I would go with smart black jeans, kitten heels and a colourful top. And a casual jersey jacket.

like that top. I never think to look in matalan. I have heels in every colour apart from tan! Off to look now!
