Can 'big' girls wear tapered trousers?

I am size 20-22, usually wearing wide leg trousers and tops or dresses with leggings. I need to buy new work clothes following maternity leave and I can't wear leggings to work! Could tapered/ slim fit trousers with tunics/ dresses be a good look? If not, can you suggest anything else for the larger lady?

I think slim fit trousers are fine, but not with a tunic/dress. Much better to get some well fitting tops in thick, good quality jersey, and some smart, well fitted jackets. Invest in some really good underwear too, if you need it-and if you've recently had a baby, I bet you need measuring for new bras. Nowt wrong with being a 'big' girl but so much wrong with the 'big' girl's uniform of tunic and trousers.
