I can't seem to find any anywhere, that don't end up looking like a sack of rags after 2 washes.I don't really want 100% cotton, would rather have a blend & ideally would like it so the cut around the arm is not only comfy but flattering too.

Any suggestions please where anyone has managed to find some, saw a lady in a fab looking one yesterday but when I returned to ask where it came from she had vanished......so anyone please :o

Waiting for the responses to this as I am on a mission to find the same thing...

waits for answers too.

i need ones that aren't too rag like, but aren't so stretchy that they cling to every bit of fat skin

Believe it or not I got a couple last summer from Next - they are really good. The length is brilliant and they still look like new.

The packs of 2 that they sell are rubbish, but the individual ones which are usually a few quid more are really good.

Can't help with positives, but avoid M&S.

Bought a couple of their longer length ones and they've lost their shape entirely.

I had a couple of nice ones from Fat Face last year. Too PG to wear them this year but they'd still be OK - nice thick cotton.

I got some from H & M, they're long and they've washed really well.

I have 2 really flattering White stuff ones but have been disappointed in the quality. Also a good quality but unflattering boden one, and dare I say it, the best overall is broderie anglaise jersey from per una a few years ago!

I have 8 of the Boden ones - they are fab, not lost their shape at all
And I bought most of them last year in the sale. Adjustable straps too.

I get topshop and DPerkins ones. Both good.

I have one trusty black Petit Bateau vest which I bought about 6 years ago, it has been worn loads but hasn't faded or lost shape at all. Hard to find though - I bought it in a department store which no longer stocks Petit Bateau, alas.

More recent purchases from Gap and Topshop had straggly hems and little holes almost immediately.

Seconding H&M and Topshop. I wear vest tops pretty much every day so mine get a right battering. These are cheap, flattering and wash well.

Fat face or gap.

I have some fab ones from Sainsburys :o & some less fab ones. Always have a look and buy a couple if they look anything like

H&M they do the really cheap fall apart ones but they also do ones that have various neck lines and are a lycra cotton mix so keep their shape and they are relatively long in the body. Look in their sportswear section they normally have them hidden there.

Many thanks for all the replies.

I have been up for hours tawling through the net looking at websites (so sad me).

legalien - I had vaguely heard of uniqlo,so had a look at their site & I think you may have put me onto a winner, good colours, not 100% cotton & a fab price.

Ta muchly - (wanders off to put an prder in) :o

I can also recommend the jeans. They last really well. A friend of mine who runs a fashion business is still reeling with shock after complimenting me on them and asking where I got them from - she should have known better than to think I would spend money on designer jeans Grin

go to H and M and get maternity ones - they are long and a good fabric - ( cotton and elastane mix, the one I'm wearing now says on the label!)

I bought these in pregnancy 1 and have been wearing them since, they have lasted through my enormous bump and back again - only downside is I think they only do them in white and black and maybe the odd colour, nothing hugely exciting.

legalalien my best ever jeans are from Uniqlo and were 20 quid, wish I'd bought more pairs!

I have a three-pack of Calvin Klein vest tops I bought from Costco of all places, and they've been great, really long, ribbed and stretchy.

Must get over to Uniqlo soon, I love that shop.

The current fat face ones wash very well, they are a bit lower than i'd usually wear and i have to make sure when holding my toddler that i'm not exposing myself, i think a smaller size may have been better but then they are too tight on my belly.

Peacocks have some nice colours - after one wash twisted and out of shape.

Anyone seen a nice navy ribbed vest?

Uniqlo are good but New Look are also surprisingly good too. The ribbed long vest tops are great for wearing with leggings/skinny jeans and the basic spaghetti vests are good for layering and they come in all colours and sizes (and start at £2.49!) I've had a ribbed long black vest for a year and it's still going strong - nice soft stretchy thickish cotton.
