What colour would you pick?

Needs to go with black suit for work to jeans with a navy blazer and white shirt for may be girlie afternoon shopping etc.

I presume tan would probably be the best neutral colour to go for?

Yes, in my opinion.

If you want something more statementy I'd go for red. Can't beat it.

HoneyDuke Wed 20-Jul-11 20:13:38

Red or Apple green

has to be tan, looks good in winter and summer.

madammecholet Wed 20-Jul-11 20:38:42

Camel or tan. What's your budget, style, I can have a rummage?

gregssausageroll Wed 20-Jul-11 20:51:54

No more than £200. Must last and last so a sort of classic.

I quite like this one

But worry I'd get bored of the style.

gregssausageroll Wed 20-Jul-11 20:53:50

Actually looking again I am not keen on the gold bits on the pockets.

SpeedyGonzalez Wed 20-Jul-11 21:36:22

I'm sure this is not your style but I love it and it's well within your budget

I second the Jigsaw one - i walked past it in John Lewis last week and it was totally lovely in the flesh - really nice leather and that little bit different. It is grey though (but I am looking for a grey bag!)

I am hoping it might get reduced some more though!

everlong Wed 20-Jul-11 21:57:22

That grey one is lovely.

SpeedyGonzalez Wed 20-Jul-11 22:11:03

<<preens>>

Glad you like my choice. Sigh. Wish I had that budget!

gregssausageroll Thu 21-Jul-11 07:31:41

I LOVE the grey but I have a hatred of bucket type bags. I despise getting to the car park and trying to find my keys in one. It drives me bonkers!

But I do love the colour.

I've got this in camel, but it comes in tan too, leather is buttery soft and I love all the pockets...

Lucia

Really worth a look in TK Maxx if you have one near otherwise the website is pretty good.

Doyouthinktheysaurus Thu 21-Jul-11 14:17:19

Another vote for the Lucia.

It's my current favourite handbag. The leather is so unbelievably soft and it's very comfortable to wear.

I am seriously considering a darker colour for the winterblush

madammecholet Thu 21-Jul-11 16:11:42

Which colour do you have doyouthinktheysaurus? I am seriously debating going to buy a Navy one for winter, or the new tan....

Doyouthinktheysaurus Thu 21-Jul-11 17:09:03

I have the camel and I'm also considering the navy madamme

I like the tan but worry it would be too similar to the camel and I have a lovely bluey green winter coat that navy would be good with. I'm not keen on black handbags for some reason.

I haven't told dh yet but I shall be definitely be buying another.....unless they come up with an even better designgrin

madammecholet Thu 21-Jul-11 18:49:45

I agree with you, I think the tan would be too similar plus I've just bought a new winter wool jacket/blazer for Autumn and the Navy one would look GORGEOUS with it......smile

chipstick10 Thu 21-Jul-11 19:29:22

All my bags are tan apart from my black bays. Tan is a beautiful and practical colour.

strictlysauvignon Thu 21-Jul-11 20:46:01

I'm with youDoyouthinktheysaurus I have the grey and am going to buy the Navy version for Winter as it has been the best bag for holding stuff and not losing things ( and I do!) I have ever had! - front pockets are great!
I don't seem to do well with tan - -

The Lucia is very like Mulberry's Annie which they no longer make and I could never afford, these days I'm a bit more affluent therefore I think a Lucia
will may be coming my way!!

RMutt Fri 22-Jul-11 09:11:45

That Lucia bag is very very nice.

madammecholet Fri 22-Jul-11 09:18:00

You won't be disappointed thecatsmum....its a beauty..grin
