Am considering a Dannii wavy bob, has that moved on now ?

I've long, shoulder length wavy/curly hair.
No time to do anything with it and DS keeps pulling and it hurts.
I may be going back to work so have decided I need something I can blast with the hairdryer and have something of a style but wondered am I 3 years too late for this style, if so what is the up to date alternative please ?
Ps Am mid thirties so Rhianna is not my icon these days.
