I flippin' LOVE QVC.

There I said it out loud.
I don't have the time or inclination to wander about the high end dept stores to look at beauty products. Also the staff can be a but pushy.
But I can sit in my own home and watch 15 mins of presentation about brands ( Philosophy, Phillip Kingsley, Ojon , L'Occitane) and household items that I wouldn't ordinarily look at .
And they deliver to my door ( yes I know there's P&P)
And I know it hasn't been hanging round in the shop, some items sell out in an hour or less.

BTW I have been a QVC-addict for 14 years. Shoot me now ( but they don't sell guns) Blush

And of course the 30 day money back guarantee.
But some of the 'presenters' make me want to throw myself onto a spike

God I love QVC too!!! I dont' spend hours watching the shows (my husband calls it a "shower of shite" haha) but they stock excellent brands and the 30 day money back guarantee is a godsend with cosmetics - if you don't get on with it, send it back despite the fact you've used it!!!

If there was one thing I could change about QVC it would be their postage and packing. They are slow-ish to despatch (can take them 2-3 days to actually pack it and it leave the warehouse), they use 2nd class post, which is slow, so really its a week to 10 days till you have your product sometimes. They also charge multiple for p&p so if you buy 3 items you get charged p&p on all of it.

I'd rather see them have a standard delivery charge of £4.95 and use a courier who delivers the lot for that price (within reason, perhaps more for big heavy items) and I'd like to see them do same day or next day despatch the same way Amazon, Lookfantastic, JohnLewis, House of Fraser, Figleaves, and well, just about every other major website manage to do these days.

And the clothes!!! All their other stuff is great but why are the clothes so middle aged?!?

The reason I say that about the despatch is I once paid extra for Express Delivery, and the delivery was Express in that once it left the warehouse I had it the next day, but it took 2 days to be despatched.

Even if they kept their p&p the same, if they could offer a "next day delivery if ordered before 12 noon" option that would be good, for those last minute need it now purchases...

I love the make up and nail brands as they have great value kits and you can send it back it it doesn't suit your skin tone. I don't mind paying the P&P as it's cheaper than driving into town and paying the parking charges!

I'm a QVC fan too. I haven't bought a lot but I could watch their jewellery shows all day. I actually have a diamonique engagement ring and I have only ever had positive comments from people who should know better. I always 'fess up to it being a fake. As I lost my previous 3 engagement rings it made no sense to spend more than £15.

I love their beauty shows, I have bought quite a bit of stuff, but also the tips on how to apply the products they are selling also works for other products. There was a time when I was quite addicted. Lately I haven't watched and therefore not bought as much, however, if you're wanting S& B in bedlinen I believe that for the price you can.t beat 'Northern Nights' for quality and value hen bought from QVC
