where would be the best place to sell a Mulberry Emmy?

have an oak Emmy bag that I don't use, (wished I'd bought a bayswater instead), so was thinking of selling it. not sure if EBay is the best place, as there are so many fakes around? Does anyone know if there are specialised websites that sell second hand bags? or is a dress agency a better bet. I paid about £600 full price for it 4 years back.

if you use an agency you'll get much less for it - I can't remember how much it is now, but they either make a very low offer, or they sell it on your behalf and take quite a high percentage. On the other hand, it's always a worry on Ebay that you are going to get ripped off in some way. Do you still have the receipt? If you can provide that you will be able to get a much higher price. I've sold a few mulberry bags on ebay myself and I always urged people to have them authenticated on the purse forum - they enter the details of the auction, and the buyer will be able to get a categorical fake or authentic verdict from the experts. If you are going to list your bag on Ebay, take a look at how previous bags have been described. You'll soon see which kinds of photos are important to include, what kind of price you can ask, and what kind of information you need to give. You must always say it's authentic - it's a kind of code for not fake. Good luck!

..that's not the end of the world. If you say it's authentic, and take the right photos, and it gets authenticated by the purse forum (you can't do this as the seller - it has to be a potential buyer) - then you will still get a good price

Have just been looking at the purse forum. BTW Have you heard of a site called Bagnificent that sells second hand designer bags?

no I haven't heard of that site. I think I got a quote from one called lovehandbags - it was much much lower than the amount I eventually made selling on ebay

you can search sold items on ebay - you might get a bigger picture if you do that
