My skin before dd wasn't that great but now that she is 5 months old, its awful. Very red inflamed spots. mostly on my cheek, chin and around my mouth. i am currently using dermalogica stuff but dont think its doing much and also using freederm.
Its getting to the point that I dont want to go out, if I try and cover with makeup it looks worse!
is it worth getting a facial done? or going to one of those Sk:in centres.

See a doctor, I suffered it with during my 2 pregnancies and beyond. It was infected acne!!! Antibiotics did the job! I only get it when I'm pregnant, but it cleared up straight away with the antib. It took two doctors, so beware.. the first doctor said it would clear up on its own. The second GP is also a dermatologist, she took one look and knew what to do!!

Yes ask to see a GP with a special interest in dermatology to start with. If no luck down that route I would pay to see someone privately, no experience of Sk:in but can highly recommend Dr Vicky Dondos at Medicetics in London.

My skin is pretty ropey at the moment. I mean it was bad before but then I got a load of Dermalogica products sent to me and since I started using them my skin has gone beserk! I don't know it it was a coincidence or whether the Dermalogica products have aggravated the acne, but it's pretty scary! Maybe your skin doesn't like Dermalogica either. I've read of a few people on here coming out in lots of spots after using it too.

It's a good idea to see the Doctor though. I took Erithromycin and it it helped a lot in clearing up my skin. Not on it now because of TTC but if you're done with breastfeeding then it's work a try.

I have been using Dermalogica for a while, maybe its time for a change! or just stick with water and nothing else
