brimfull · 30/11/2010 21:59

depends on your shape and height
could go either way

Report
dingdong3 · 30/11/2010 21:59

Wouldn't be my cup of tea but probably because it's the wrong shape for me. Not keen on that shade of grey. Sorry! Think I preferred your first link Grin

Shape and height... um... would fat and short work? :)

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 30/11/2010 22:02

I quite like it.

As long as you are not short or fat or have being norks it is cute.

Otherwise it is going to look dreadful.

Which are you?

A few x posts there - sorry Blush

Frumpy And probably cheap and nasty at only £28. Awful colour too. Sorry, but you asked.

Report
ninah · 30/11/2010 22:04

is OK if you are v v skinny

Report
Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 22:05

nancydrew - sadly, I hit all three of those :) The boobs thing is what drew me to it actually, as that is the most flattering neckline for Bravissimo babes...

Oh I love the colour, amothersplace! I agree about the potential for cheap & nasty though - 100% polyester Hmm

I am short and none too thin...I avoid grey and also thin dresses with belts! I look like a sack of spuds.

I think it like us you are short and rotund, the best thing is to think NO to draped skirts...NO to gathered skirts and YES to Aline type skirts and dreses which are cut on the cross/bias.

Report
moondog · 30/11/2010 22:10

I quite like it but you need to be thin.
Why do you think that is a good neckline for big tits?
I think not.

Report
iTigress · 30/11/2010 22:11

I think it's cute! And the way it's styled on the
website is nice too.

Actually I'd say it would look much better on someone with big boobs - those kind of floaty dresses just hang off my B-cups - I think you def need curves for it, not just saying that at all, I'm jealous, only shift dresses work on me. I think for the price you can't go wrong if you know the shape suits you. Have you seen it in a store?

paddingtonbear1 · 30/11/2010 22:14

They have a petite version as well, in red. I like it but I don't think it would suit me - I'm short, size 12 and a D cup!

I would go for this shape more.

If your waist is not small in comparison to your hips (which is my prob) then thn fabrics belted in the middle just look lumpy.

Oh but it is, it is, moondog!! It's all you ever hear - low-cut, square necklines for big boobs and it so works for me. It's hte high necklines you need to avoid.

tigress, no I haven't seen it in a store, just saw it online.

You reckon?
I always felt a deep scoop or v neck better for big 'uns, althoguh agree on not wearing high necks.

That's going to look frumpy, I fear. But what's the event? I think you need something to show off the 'babes' a bit more!

Report
iTigress · 30/11/2010 22:24

Don't listen to them - you know what suits you and can always send it back so go for it.

Might be more Christmassy in red if you go for petite? Otherwise I think some nice sparkly jewellery would be lovely with the grey to bling it up a bit.

Report
Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 22:24

No particular event, TrailMix, just for in general. I think you are all right about it being lovly for a Sienna type [spit] and Shanahan has a good point about the skirt shape. This is why I like MNers who Know About Things :)

Thanks, everyone!
