I need to go to the UK for 10 days. By all accounts you're freezing over there whereas we currently have temperatures in the 30s.

In terms of winter clothes here (that I can layer up and that fits as I'm 20 weeks pregnant) I have:

a cream boat neck wool top
a turquoise and a black ruond neck cotton top
a mulberry-type-colour and a black polo neck top

a pair of wide leg wool mix black trousers
a pair of skinny jeans
(possibly a pair of grey pinstripe trousers if they arrive on time)

a beigey coloured v-neck sweater
a hot pink shrug thing

a black dress with a white/purple pattern on
a beige dress with pink/purple print near the hem (it might go over jeans and a polo-neck?)
a v-neck grey wool dress with a
a black/green/white dress which I'm travelling in and plan to shove a polo neck under when I do my first change plus either skinny jeans or tights

grey tights
cream tights
various long socks!

a pair of black flat boots
a pair of black knee high boots
a pair of vanns (with turquoise stars on if it makes a difference?)

1 warm grey jumper!

I also have vast amounts of scarves and a fair amount of jewellery etc.

How many outfits can I assemble from that? Is there anythign which isn't worth taking? I'm spectacularly bad at capsuling.

What 'key pieces' could I buy from primarni M&S or similar to give me ultimate flexibility? I don't mind buying things in a size bigger than my normal size as long as they do me the 10 days as I can give them away after! Alternatively I wouldn't mind investing in a couple of stunning 'maternity' pieces that won't date and are really, really flexible.

Is it realistic to do a posh family lunch, a couple of informal drinks dos and informal shopping/meeting up with friends on that much? Can wash clothes easily but I need 3 days worth of day-night outfits that don't need washing including the posh family lunch, 2 informal drinks dos and probably a couple of brisk walks...

Id add black opaque tights to go with all of your dresses (except maybe the beige one) to wear with your black boots, flat or heeled.

Id also consider a grey boyfriend style cardi to wear with your cotton tops or polo necks (together with either your black trousers or skinny jeans)

Make sure you take a fab blingy necklace which could really dress up whatever you are wearing. Likewise a pair of dangly sparkly earrings look amazing with a simple dress or even the black polo neck and trousers/jeans

Have a lovely time
