  1. How does Cheryl Cole's make-up always look so dewy? Any idea what it is?

  1. Need a long, preferably grey winter coat, which fits in the middle and then flares out, kind of Victorian style - where can I find one?

  1. Can anyone recommend a good lipstick in a dark maroony red?

Thanks if anyone can be bothered!

  1. Try a foundation designed to give dewy coverage or apply a more creamy than you normally use moisturiser under your usual foundation or mix the moisturiser with your foundation.

  1. A few long grey coats to have a look at...

Love this FC one but it may be more Jane Austen era than Victorian.

Dark grey with a detachable faux fur collar from Precis Petite. Ignore if you're taller than 5'4" though.

Mid grey from Windsmoor.

  1. Sorry but I can't be of any help here as I don't wear lipstick. When I do I end up looking like I'm wearing a comedy moustache as my hair blows around and gets stuck to my lips.

Thanks for all that Amanderr. I use quite a light foundation from Clinque, but find it gets shiny rather than dewy. Have also tried shine control moisturiser/primer stuff underneath which doesn't seem to do much. Just wondered if there are new techniques/products around that I dont' know about (being very old and all that Grin). Like the Precis coat, but I'm 5 7 so, it's not for me. Will continue searching - thank you.

Yes, there's a fine line between dewy and shiny.

Just a thought re the coat. Keep checking Laura Ashley as they normally stock long fitted coats so there must be one due instore soon. Smile
